Paradise Beach in Cozumel

14895_IMG_3606After enjoying many different types of outings as a family while staying in Playa, we decided to take the kids to Paradise Beach over in Cozumel. We took the 30 minute ferry ride rom Playa on Ultramar Boat lines which is a huge ferry, accommodating 450 passengers with bathrooms, a bar and comfortable seating. (If you suffer sea-sickness be sure to take a Gravol beforehand.)

Once in Cozumel, it’s approximately a 15 minute cab ride to Paradise Beach (a cab will cost you around $140 Pesos).Paradise Beach is aptly named; PARADISE! The grounds and lawns are beautifully manicured, they have a large heated pool, a beach full of lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a lagoon full of water activities suited for both kids and adults. For $2 you can rent a lounger, use the pool, change rooms, lockers and bathrooms and free internet. For $12.50 US you can enjoy the following water activities:

  • *14 foot climbing iceberg
  • *water trampolines
  • *jungle-joe water structure
  • *rocket-rocking water toy
  • * large water slides
  • * beach floats
  • * spacewalker
  • *snorkel equipment
  • *kayaks

They also have a bungee trampoline where they harness you, and you are free to jump as high as you like, and do somersaults! There’s also a coconut climbing tree with a safety harness to bring you down safely. For an extra charge you can enjoy banana boat rides, wave runners and massage. There’s full beach waiter service and 2 bars to enjoy.

All in all we really enjoyed this day with the family and the kids thought their mom was brilliant for suggesting this place! We found it very clean, lots of space, lots of fun and overall something for everyone!
