SPEND MARCH BREAK ON THE CARIBBEAN’S SUNNY SHORES

Youbeauty.comBe afraid, be very afraid. March Break is just around the corner and if you don’t have a survival plan in place, all “H-E-double hockey sticks” will break loose! Without a game plan in place and bored kids underfoot, guaranteed you will be swilling cheap wine at night.  😀

But don’t fret, the cavalry from Playa Beach Getaways is here with a survival plan just for you! And don’t you think you’ve suffered enough this winter with being cooped up, enduring bone-chilling cold weather and near record snowfalls? We feel your pain.

It’s your turn now for a run at fun in the sun. So dust off your suitcases & come to Playa del Carmen (MX) to enjoy the sun, surf and sand. We still have fully-equipped, spacious, oceanfront condos available for any type of traveling clan. Consider it a “long recess” for the whole family during March Break!

What Will We Do There?

Easy! There are so many activities and adventures to do that a week is not enough! All of our condos enjoy c3 lrprivate beach front loungers and umbrellas just to start with, so you don’t even have to leave the grounds to have fun. You can body surf in the ocean, enjoy a relaxing swim in our infinity pools, or read a book in peace on your own private balcony with jaw-dropping ocean views. Or swing yourself silly in one of our rooftop hammocks (wahoo!) Life just does not get any better than this, and if it does, it should be illegal!

Oh you’re the adventurous type?

Well there’s no shortage of adventures to partake in!

Xcaret Park – The BIG Attraction

The majority of people who visit Cancun make their way to this outstanding ecological theme park. Discover an underground maze of rivers, frolic in a lagoon, and snorkel in crystal clear Caribbean waters. Enjoy the 4xbeauty of nature; and keep your eyes peeled for birds, butterflies and monkeys as you wander the lush forested grounds and visit archaeological sites. When the sun goes down, settle in for a spectacular show of lights, music and dance highlighting Mayan history and culture. (And moms check out their beautiful Mayan spa – after one of their massages, you’ll feel like Gumby!)

ATV/Zipline Tour

sel3 selvat.jpb

Embark on an eco-adventure through the Cancun jungle via zipline and ATV on this exciting combo tour! Soar through the treetops on 12 ziplines – considered the best in Mexico, and then head off-road on your own four-wheeler ATV for a 30-minute ride. You’ll enjoy swimming and zip lining into the cenote’s emerald green waters followed by a light lunch under a palapa. It will bring out the Indiana Jones in you!

Catamaran Sail, Ancient Mayan Ruins & Snorkeling Tour

cat13

Can you just imagine spending a day sailing on the turquoise Caribbean waters on a catamaran cruise from Puerto Aventuras down the coast to the ancient Mayan site of Tulum where you’ll do a walking tour of the stunning site? Then afterwards you will stop and snorkel along the coral reef then enjoy a buffet lunch & unlimited drinks on the boat. You’ll feel like you’re George Clooney but better – because he probably gets to do that all the time and you may not. HOLA!

Isla Mujeres & Garrafon Park Tour

gar2

Treat yourself to a fun day of  relaxation and adventure at Garrafon Natural Reef Park on Isla Mujeres. After a DCIM100GOPRO lovely boat tour from Cancun, you will enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, and biking around the park exploring the reefs, cliffs and landscapes including Punta Sur. And back at the VIP lounge, you (the VIP) will enjoy the beautiful pool & Jacuzzi, along with a la-di-da seafood buffet of sushi, salmon and shrimp topped off with an open bar that’ll make you drool with delight. WINNING!

Horseback Riding Tours

Horseback riding on sparkling strands of white sand beach, skirting the edges of the dazzling blue-green water of the Caribbean Sea…sounds horselike something out of a romance novel, doesn’t it?  Enjoy a day in the Mexican outback taking in incredible views while spending a day in the life of real “rancheros” aka Mexican cowboys!

Rio Secreto Underground River Tour

xplor-balsas (1)

Discover the mysteries of the Yucatan on a visit to Rio Secreto Nature Reserve. Enjoy an exciting afternoon adventure at Rio Secreto, where you’ll wade and swim through an underground river and spelunking in caves (don’t you just love that word ‘spelunking’?) Frankly exploring the magic wonder of its cenotes will stay with you long after the excursion is over.

*In the ecological parks of the Mayan Riviera the use of regular sunscreens is prohibited for swimming and other water activities because oils can be damaging to the water-life ecology. Special eco-friendly sunblocks are allowed and available for purchase throughout the area.

The bottom line is there is SO much to do in the Riviera Maya, I’d have to write a novel to fill you in on everyfbsal activity, tour, and adventure that’s available! It’s an oasis where jungle meets ocean, where nature meets beauty. And where families return year after year to make memories and immerse themselves in the beauty of this welcoming jewel of Mexico. There’s a reason year after year travel magazines, travel websites and vacation experts nominate the Riviera Maya as a one of the world’s top vacation destinations. (I second and third that!)

And it’s our desire at Playa Beach Getaways to offer you a level of service along with a vast knowledge of the area that just might not be available anywhere else! (We’ll give you that “we’re like old friends” touch that others just can’t offer!)

Now see what a breeze March Break is going to be for all you parents out there? Just follow my lead and we’ll go places…(like the Riviera Maya!)
